Susquenita School District serves approximately 1,700 students in grades K-12 with a dedication team of 150 educators committed to innovation and student success.

As a 1:1 Apple district, every student is equipped with an iPad, while teachers utilize both a MacBook Air and iPad, along with Apple Pencil and Apple TV technology to enhance instruction and create engaging, student-centered learning experiences. Supported by 11 Apple Leaning Coaches, more than 85% of teachers and administrators are certified Apple Teachers, with several educators having completed the Apple Teacher Portfolio and others actively pursuing it. 

In partnership with parents, teachers, and community members, Susquenita School District is dedicated to providing a safe and enriching environment that combines rigorous academics, progressive technology, and a focus on developing the whole child.

Proudly recognized as an Apple Distinguished School District, with all three schools earning Apple Distinguished School status, Susquenita uses technology to inspire creativity, imagine new possibilities, and make a meaningful impact through innovative and personalized learning experiences. 

Susquenita High School

At Susquenita High School, our 1:1 learning environment has extended learning far beyond the walls of the classroom, empowering students and teachers to collaborate, create, and connect in meaningful ways. Through the use of Apple devices and innovative instructional practices, teachers design authentic learning experiences that challenge students to imagine new possibilities, inspire others through their work, and create a lasting impact within their school and community. Students have engaged directly with the community by organizing and hosting voter registration initiatives that encourage civic responsibility and student voice. They have inspired and supported peers across the district by creating a mental health resource website designed to promote awareness and connection. Student-led innovation continues through the development of community and school podcasts, the publication of a digital quarterly newsletter, and Lunch and Learn sessions hosted by the student tech team to share technology skills and digital learning strategies with others. In addition, students have expanded their impact by providing technology support for both students and staff, fostering a collaborative culture where learners are empowered to lead, create, and make meaningful contributions beyond the classroom.

Since earning our most recent Apple Distinguished School recognition, Susquenita High School has continued to advance a culture of innovation, creativity, and student-centered learning. Guided by our vision to Imagine, Inspire, and Impact, students and staff leverage Apple technology to extend learning beyond the classroom through authentic, real-world experiences. Students have demonstrated leadership and service by organizing voter registration initiatives, developing a district-wide mental health resource website, producing student-led podcasts and digital publications, and providing technology support and professional learning opportunities for peers and staff. Since earning Apple Distinguished School recognition, Susquenita Middle School has continued to cultivate a learning environment where curiosity, creativity, and innovation thrive. Guided by our vision to Imagine, Inspire, and Impact, students use Apple technology to explore their interests, deepen their understanding, and engage in meaningful learning experiences that extend beyond traditional classroom boundaries. Through project-based learning, creative problem-solving, and collaborative opportunities, students are empowered to take ownership of their learning while developing the confidence and skills needed to succeed in the future. Teachers leverage Apple tools to create engaging and personalized experiences that encourage exploration, communication, and critical thinking. Our Apple Distinguished School story highlights how middle school students are growing as innovative learners, creative thinkers, and responsible digital citizens who imagine new possibilities, inspire their peers through collaboration, and make a positive impact within their school community. As we continue our journey, we remain committed to fostering a culture of innovation that prepares students to lead, create, and contribute in meaningful ways.
