Bachelor's Degree in Any Subject Substitute Teachers

Don't have a Bachelor's Degree in Education but looking to make some money in your free time? Individuals with Bachelor's degrees in any field can work in districts as a Substitute Teacher by becoming a Guest Teacher. Interested individuals will complete asynchronous online training provided by Susquenita School District as part of Susquenita's Guest Teacher Course. Education Students with 60 Semester Hours

Currently working on your degree in Education? Prospective teachers have the ability to work as substitute teachers for districts for up to 20 days in a school year, as long as they meet the requirements of PA Act 86. The requirements include:

  • Be currently enrolled in a teacher preparation program in a college or university located in the state of Pennsylvania
  • Completed 60 semester hours or more

This is a great opportunity to have some "real world" experience while working on your degree in Education!

Bachelor's Degree in Education Substitute Teachers

Have a Bachelor's Degree in Education? Come work with our students! Individuals with Bachelor's degrees in the field of Education are able to work in districts as substitute teachers. This is a great opportunity to "get your foot in the door" of a district you are interested in working for, even if they do not have any current available openings, as it provides experience working with the students in the district. As a substitute for Susquenita, you are one of the first individuals we contact when positions that are a good fit become available.
